So, here I am at work.
I work in the NSW Paramedics (EMTs) control room.
It's huge, we have 60 desks and about a thousand monitors. I have 7 on my desk alone.
We also have TVs mounted all around the room. 10 wall mounted plasmas in various strategic spots. They used to run 24/7. Due to the nature of the work, it's gets busy and it gets quiet. Staff also have personal laptops or DVD players to keep occupied when it isn't busy.
Now for some unknown reason we have to turn off the TVs and are not allowed laptops during the day, unless the head honcho says it's OK.
It's the weekend. The TVs are on. Some controllers have books or the paper to read. So I get out the laptop. The completely anal boss comes over and quotes the instruction from the Full Colonel Control Centre Commander about no laptops. But it's the weekend. Better still, I'm a supervisor. I have a freaking admin computer on my desk. Connected to the internet. But some sites are blocked, and most linked pics don't display from the forum, and it's slow, so I prefer my own machine.
But orders are orders.
So now, my second admin monitor is hooked to the laptop. My laptop. Which is sitting closed under a pile of papers.
Chances of the dumbass Major (no offense pwn) even realising? Zip. Nada. Diddly.
