There is a program made by Shark007 for Vista and Win 7.

This will install all of the codecs needed to view pretty much anything in WMP.

Here's the link for Vista users: http://www.majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=5326

Here's the link for 7 users: http://www.majorgeeks.com/Win7codecs_d5959.html

For 64-bit users that use Windows Media Center, here's the links for:

I recommend that when you get installed and have rebooted, go to:
> Start
> All Programs
> Shark007 Codecs
> Settings Application

(All changes are made in real time)
Go to:
> The "Misc" tab
> Check "DO NOT use FFDshow (global setting)"

There have been a few videos I watched where the color was inverted, and doing the above steps fixed that.

I hope this helps. BTW, VLC is a good program, it's just not my cup of tea personally. Have a good day. XD
