Time Limit for S1

Hey there everyone. Does anyone agree with me when I say that the time limit per game is a little long on s1? It used to be decent...I think 10 min. But now it gets a little tiring...especially when one is trying to concentrate long enough to hold a lead ;D I also noticed that the cartoon server has a bit a short time limit...

However, maybe I'm the only that feels this way. Any input from anyone?

Hey Grey,

Yeah, this topic has been discussed and it was voted a tie at 20 min. & 30 min. The reason I decided to leave it at 30 was solely on the player rankings. Read the thread for more info ;)

It's definitely a mission to keep the lead but much more gratifying at the end ;D

im with you for s1 its to long i reckon it should go to 15 mins again

S1 is our recruitment server, so our goal is to increase the amount of legitimate, rule abiding players on that server at all times of the day. The increased time limit has caused a noticeable increase in the daily traffic. This will hopefully lead to more regularly active players becoming regularly active members. Maybe some of the traffic we get will donate to keep everything running. These kinds of outcomes outweigh the personal preferences of a handful of our registered users, who have easy access to our other servers and moderators anyway.

if you guys would like to get another one of our servers going like s1 is, you could all start playing as much as possible on 1 other server. No one outside our clan is going to join an empty server unless they are bring their friend to play 1v1 or something like that. After a while you all may have a regularly populated server that runs 15 minutes games that you can go to when 30 minute games are too long.

Yeah, I really don't like the 30 min time limit either, I rarely play an entire round on there now and I don't even try to win anymore either. Use to on the 15 min limit many times I would get first place, and by the end of the round it was like "whew that was good", but now it seems never ending and I get tired of it before I'm done, lol. But I guess that's me, anyone else feel the same way?

The problem with 30 mins, is that if you join 10 minutes in, you have to wait another 20 for the round to start, then play 30. If you want top spot that is.

A fast game's a good game.

Just like sex.

Wow...really? That's crazy! Well I actually don't live IN Sacramento....but I go to work in Sacramento every day. I tell people I live there just because it's an easy landmark for people to know where I am as Sacramento is the capital of CA. I live in a small town called Shingle Springs. Don't know if you heard of it or not...but it's up highway 50 on the way to the mountains before you get to Placerville. Ring a bell?

30 minutes brings more people to server 1. That is a good thing. If we want a server that is good for our own personal triumphs and shit, let's get one of our other 3 dead servers regularly populated, or all of them.

I'm bringing the server minutes down to 20, if the server goes down in ranking I'm gonna start cutting some heads; starting with Blu! :098: :D

OK Wall, I guess the good thing about having 30 mins, is if you join 5 or so mins in you still have a chance to catch up.

Well, I do. I don't know about the rest of you....LOL

scratch what I said in my previous post. This is how the server is set up now to satisfy both sides:

Time Limit: 30 minutes
Point Limit: 625 points

What does that equate to? Whoever gets to 125 kills results in a round that ends, no matter the time! So if there are 30 players in the server, 125 kills can be reached within 15-20 minutes. I left the extra 30 minutes just in case there are times that only 10 players are in the server so at least players can start going in there.

Makes sense? I call this a compromise. ;)
