I gotta mouse in my roome. It's getting cold outside so I guess they are moving indoors. So im trying to catch it, and I am not trying to buy a mousetrap.

Any ideas for names when I catch it? I should train it to kill the other mice :D.

Theres bait in that cheezit box.

Peanut Butter makes excellent bait. Usually where there is one mouse, there are a few more. Setting store bought traps are a pain. I had a few mice raiding my pantry once in San Diego, and every time i would kill one, another would pop out. I think i got five of them before they disappeared. Don't really like killing them, but didn't have much choice.

Does that trap trigger itself? Or do you sit there all day holding the string. :D Before i got the traditional mouse trap, i tried one like that with Peanut butter as bait. The mice would steal the PB and leave unharmed. :D

Glue traps are inhumane. The mouse gets stuck and you have no choice but to kill it. Either catch it and put it outside, or kill it quickly.

nah i dont have to sit there all day. I have had mice in my room every semester so far, and from my experience, they only come out at night. They will not go into the center of the room and stick close to walls and corners. I have the cheezit bag in the box, partially opened, the food is at the bottom of that. When the mouse is getting in there you can hear it loud and clear.

In my experience, they love potato chips. I will try PB if i ever get some.

I also have not seen it. Last night when I heard it (it's spot is right next to the head of my bed), I turned on the light and heard it scurry all across the room. I am hoping that it isn't a rat. There are many rats on the streets of boston. I'll be talking to my friend on the stoop outside for 15 minutes, and we'll see at least 4 rat crossings. They are kinda big as well. It definitely sounded big last night man. I have found that when everythings quiet, mice are a lot louder than you would expect. It's mostly them eating or chewing something.

Lol, currently working on the designs for the jerry rigged self activating mouse trap. Will keep you posted on developments.

If i catch it I will probably let it go. If i kill this one, it's not like there isn't another one to take its place, so I would have killed it for nothing. I was thinking about spraypainting its tale bright yellow or something, or coloring it in some way.

You should keep it and nail it to your wall as an example to the other mice to know what happens to them when they f**k with TheDude

flood your house
knock your house down
but the best idea is to by a mouse trap

well glue traps are inhumane imo, and killing a single mouse/rat in most cases is unnecessary and illogical. There are mice to fill its place, and they will come. It's also fun to catch a mouse on your own. I was backpacking in the mountains in New Mexico, and I caught one fo the rodents there (we called them ChipRats) pretty much with my bare hands. That was fun. I also don't feel like walking to the store that sells traps to get some, and I definitely don't feel like spending the money, College is expensive and I don't have extra cash.


So any ideas for names when I catch it? I will catch it, btw. Maybe I should keep it. I could be like willard.
