I was banned for no apparent reason other than being previously banned by houston. I haven't played COD4 in a week and lsat time I played i wasnt banned but now i am...WTF!!

I'm not seeing it reported by the mods so most likely, this happened when we added punkbuster with its ban list. That means if you've ever been banned from a punkbuster server, you're now banned from ours. Personally I've never observed you breaking any rules but I may be mistaken. I'm guessing this is the reason, but I'll leave it up to Wally to decide if any action is necessary.

most likely, you were on the PB bans that WaLLy has just added to our ban list. You could try to PM WaLLy.

TheDude, apparently there has been an icreasing amount of Game Hook bans from PB. i just did a little research, it may or may not have been a PB mistake.

Yea, i would not put my full trust into Punkbuster and solely rely on that. I've seen Easy play many, many times in s1 and have never seen a hack.

I would PM Wally Easy.

ok. If you look at the number of repealed pb bans compared to the number of standing bans, you will see that the margin of error is very small. I have never seen him hack either, but that doesn't mean he didn't decide to hack on another server first, or at all, or that he wasn't just really good at hiding it. I say the ban stays.

Well not hacks dmg it was something with my computer i would get kicked alot by pb at times and it just banned me once

ok i talked to kat and checked the ban list. She is not on it and can go on our servers. She has not been pb banned, but has either been kicked by punkbuster due to some kind of error, or has been banned from a server running punkbuster by an admin. This happened to nickhouston very recently as well. He was banned from 1 server running pb for using a noob tube, which is against that servers rules. This ban only applies to that server. You do not get PB banned for server specific rules, only for hacking. If an admin on a pb server decides that you are hacker, and bans you, you are still not banned from all pb servers until a demo of you hacking is sent in to PB and then evaluated. Kat has not been banned for hacking, easy company has, however.

okay lol I've been searching the list for any variations on the three names that I know she's gone under....that's why I haven't found anything yet....good to know. :NIGHT_1:
