I am really getting tired of all this name calling because I happen to camp at times so I am suggesting that ALL camping be banned from all our servers..

Well we would have to define camping and also this is going way into our "we like limited rules" policy.
But what I mean by defining it is like, how long/how many kills would be considered "camping"?
Like 3-4 kills or 120 seconds in any area is camping unless you're sniping?

its too hard to define camping, our server population changes to much to completely rule out moving slower at times, or even camping, the small amount of rules on our server is a really good thing. I am seriously against this. I at many times find campers annoying, but it is part of the game.

Well technically spawn camping is part of the game too because the map makers/coders specifically set the way-points (spawn points for those people that know nothing about coding games) to certain areas. There are areas, whether that be near-by or from afar, that people can kill the people that spawn in very few shots.

Spawn camping is part of the game only as an something that inherently comes with RESPAWN. If spawncamping was ok with the developers, they wouldn't have made an effort to have people not spawn when youre staring at the spawn. Have you ever noticed that if you are standing facing a spawn, people don't spawn there. So obviously the developers decided that people shouldn't just spawn in front of you so you can kill them. Of course, with enough people, the game is forced to spawn people in front of you. Aside from that point, spawncamping is unfair and huirts the game mechanics. The game is supposed to function with working spawns, but if you spawncamp, one of those spawns is now shut off, causing more people to spawn at the other spawn points. Not to mention spawncamping is not fair gameplay, for many reasons. Yes, you could spawncamp too, but i think i can safely say that KKK does not want a server where winning is determined by who can spawncamp the most.
Making camping illegal is ridiculous and i am against it. I will not mod if i am forced to ban or kick people for camping.

Have you noticed that it only does that when you are in a certain proximity/angle of the spawn? You can move just a couple steps to the side or back and it'll allow people to spawn there. They have certain settings set up for the way-points to do that.

i understand how it works dustyn. If there were 5 people in s1, and you were looking at a spawn, no one would spawn there. You can trick the game into thinking youre not looking at the spawn, but all of this is just an inherant part of having respawn. I guarentee the developers would have made spawncamping impossible if they could have.
This idea is just plain stupid. There is no way, even if we wanted to, to control ALL campers. It's hard enough getting all of the spawn campers. If we kicked and banned all regular campers, their would be no server left. Campers annoy me sure, but as long as they are not spawn camping it's really no big deal, i just go back to their spot and get easy kills.
If you're tired of the name calling, why don't YOU just stop camping or suck it up. Fortunately , I doubt h any vote here or what not is going to make a difference. I don't think Wally would ever put a rule like this into effect, and rightfully so.

How about the name calling just stops.. I'll play the game every LEGAL way I can But I won't put up with certain people calling me or anyone else names.. Better yet ban camping for Krew members only..There's a novel idea for you
Bob, it's not a very realistic expectation that all camping could be banned.
I would argue that most people camp at some point during a game, even if just for a few moments to collect themselves.
Where would you draw the line between camping and pausing?
How would you enforce it?
What would penalties be for it? Kick? Ban?
I think your solution to camping would create more questions than answers it provides.

I think maybe this thread needs to be about being respectful. Oh wait, we already have one of those threads. Guys, camping annoys me sometimes, but i camp sometimes as well. Marty annoys me, last stand annoys me, lots of things annoy me in this game. No one should be taking personal shots at another person, especially another member, especially not mods/admins. I understand that most name calling and shit talk isn't meant to be serious, but if someone does take it to be serious and expresses this to you, please stop or tone it down. Yelling at hackers, repeated spawncampers, and other offenders is a different story.
Also, people in our krew need to be able to deal with getting shit, for whatever reason. If every time someone gets annoyed with us and calls us a name, we fly off the handle, we are going to be painting a very bad picture of the krew. Be prepared to get yelled at for marty, last stand, camping, tubes...etc. anything that people can whine about, they will, and it's not going to stop, so get over it.

Plain and simple, spawn camping is not allowed. Borderline spawn camping is not allowed - please try not to bend the rule. If and when we think someone is borderline spawn camping, we will treat it as such, a spawn camper. Obviously, this will be tough to explain what is borderline spawn camping but rest assured we do have debates over such things.
I think we would have no one in our servers if we did this anyway because our mods would be working 24/7! and who wants to go "oh hey your camping BAN" i know a server where 1 team HAS to camp.... it was like a modded script making it so you only had a surtin time to move and then you would just stop.... really stupid

Seriously you got a problem man camping is part of the game, if you cant take a joke then maybe you should be doing something a little more serious then playing GAMES!!!!!!! Sorry if im being rude but this is the dumbest thing i heard all week, I vote no on this pole because camping is part or the game dont even think spawn camping is that bad but i understand how anoying and cheap, might as well say no snipers as well since they all camp, hopefully people agree and say no to this pole because i see nothing wrong with camping!!!
