i've always loved metallica. They have the best metal music: slipknot/disturbed= okay, but a little to "death"
 
metallica is way over-rated! they are like the mcdonalds of metal! popular because of good marketing and a solid foundation, but they have definately trailed off over the years! plus LARS got all LADY GAGA over napster!

and I really dont like progressive rock either, which is odd because i'm a musician and all my friends love dream theatre and DRAGON FORCE but that shit makes me wanna stick my junk in a meat grinder so i would be forced to off myself to forget the pain and escape a penisless future!
 
jazz, it includes a lot of shit.
some hip hop, some funk. I used to be way into blues, and blues rock, but it got boring. Same solos over and over again.

Metallica's newer stuff is total crap. If you listen to their older stuff (early 80's) it's bad ass!
 
i agree that metallica is overrated. People cling to whoever's music they like best and say they are the best musicians. Mettalica may be badass, but they are NOT FANTASTIC MUSICIANS. No arguement. MCFOE YOU LIKE MONK :o. Check out oscar peterson

i usually listen to most rock. never soft rock cause im not ghey. mostly either metal or hardrock or somthing like that
