OK well i finally got the a-ok from mother dearest so i can buy a computer...my budget is 3,500 dollars but i would like to keep it inbetween 2,000 and 2,900 (but even under 2000 and still a good computer would be great, want to play new games on high). The reason why so much is because i'm going to college next year and i need a rig just for the dorm...i don't want a laptop to expensive and they go out of date real fast. I've found digitalstormonline.com , cyberpowerpc.com , dell.com , hp.com but i was wondering if you guys know of any other good and more than decent custom pc desktop creators...thanks for the help guys i really need it!

also if ur looking into gaming Alienware computers are pretty good. at least in my experiance. i had one about 6 years ago. Fried by lightning in Arizona. That sucked. Not sure how they have turned out since Dell took over tho.

Ok here are the basics of what i would like to have

processor with 6 cores ($200-350)
8 - 12 gigs of ram ($200-250)
1 - 2 graphics cards with 1 - 2gbs ($300-400 but see if you can get under and still meet the criteria)
1.5 - 2 terrabites harddrive ($200-300)
cheap but more than decent case ($100-290)
liquid cooling (idk how much but no over kill here fellas just cpu and graphics card loop)
and good motherboard that can support all of that ($200-300)
and i'm willing to learn how to build a computer...so put down links to products that match the criteria and try and keep the prices low here...

You don't need to spend 3K to build a great box.
This cost me $800 and COD4 loads in about 4 seconds.
Windows boots in 10 and comes out of sleep in 2 seconds on this hardware.
Get a good silverstone case from frozenCPU.com and keep that. Upgrade it periodically with fresh guts.
See the case I use, lower left here:

Check priceWatch.com for the rock-bottomest prices.
Water coolers haven't evolved enough to bother.

1. Motherboard: EVGA P55 Motherboard. (supports intel i5 and i7 CPUs. ~$180)
- SATA II ports, fricken fast!
- Onboard sound, 2 Ethernet ports, lots of USB ports.
- Supports 1300 MHZ DDR3 memory.
- Can be overclocked for really fast performance. Sweet stuff.
2. EVGA Nvidia GeForce GTS 260 Video Card. 1GB. (~$220)
3. 4GB Standard DDR3 RAM. ($100)
4. 64GB or 80 GB SSD Drive. (300 MBps read and prices are dropping like lead. $200 for the 64GB Intel)
5. 750 Watt power supply or you can reuse your last power supply. ($60)
6. 1TB Disk drive for movies, data, whatever. Can also use your old. ($80)
drive if it's SATA.
7. Windows 7 OEM Home Premium 64. ($104 for the full OEM version. Good deal. OEM Means you can pay a license fee for each computer onto which you install it past the first.)
