Fire Manipulation...

As some of you may know, i work as a fire juggle for my own for 3 years now.
Im juggling poi for 8 years and have learned poi to a good 50-60 people in 3 years at a weekly workshop i've created with some friends...

I've recently learned with professional how to eat fire...what is an upper level in fire manipulation...the kind of thing that i like to call a super power (heard kids at a show recently said: He's a mutant!)...even if its just physics. I don't do that for the money (would love to but it would be just the cherry on the cake) i do that cause i like it and cause i can do it

Nice! I guess its very dangerous because you have mustache and beard?

Not really...its dangerous cause its fire (400°C flame)...beard and mustache just add some spicy shaving effects ^^ hairs doesn't hurt when they burn ^^ flesh do but hairs not

In that move (picture under) called shoot the river you have to lower your head to transfer the flame by blowing it on the extinguished torch...

the hairs doesn't even catch fire...pics is more impressive than the heat i feel on my face

Dude one question for you...what type of gloves do you wear as a fireman? Do you wear only one pair of gloves or do you have like thin gloves under the big ones? if so, do the thin gloves protect from flames too?

i guess gloves are made of some kind of leather but i would know how they are saw...cause every leather gloves i used tend to die cause the stiching point ends burning...so if you know or know someone who know how and with what firemen's gloves are sawn...im interested to know it too

Leathers
The outer shell of the glove is made up of 3oz cowhide that has been tanned with a proprietary blend of silicone and other additives that keeps the glove soft after repeated wet/dry cycles. Cowhide is the perfect outer shell material because it provides the best balance of durability, dexterity, abrasion resistance and comfort.
The back of the glove uses a top grain cowhide while the palm side is a reverse cowhide for added grip in both wet and dry conditions. The forchettes of the glove are made from 2oz goatskin. Goat is the preferred material where tactile sensitivity is required. Due to the high lanolin content in goatskin, it is highly flexible and naturally water resistant. The outer reinforcements on the glove include a knuckle and a palm guard. Both reinforcements are made from 3oz split cowhide and extend all the way across the width of the hand.

Thermal Liner

The thermal liner of the glove is a military grade, 9oz interlock weave Nomex®. It is the exact material that is used in many of the gloves in service today throughout several branches of the United States military. Nomex® was selected for its legacy and history of performance in the fire service and for its performance and feel while donning and doffing the glove. The interlock weave is especially important as it provides just enough stretch to eliminate any restriction when making a fist or grasping objects.
Moisture Barrier

The moisture barrier in the Dex-Pro glove is Vapor Flex™ technology. Vapor Flex™ is a thin, lightweight and breathable polyurethane liner that is highly flexible. This liner significantly reduces bunching and restriction when glove is in use.
Construction
Liner-Loc™ Technology ensures against liner pull-out with 9 separate attachment points.
Featuring a Keystone thumb design which is the most ergonomic thumb pattern available. The Keystone thumb is sewn separately into the palm of the glove allowing for a full 360 degree range of motion and maximum flexibility.
Dex-Flex™ Finger Design more closely mimics the actual orientation of the hand and fingers while at rest. This, combined with the Vapor Flex moisture barrier, significantly reduces restriction in the glove and subsequently reduces hand fatigue.
Leathers are sewn a Tex-80 Kevlar® thread for superior tensile strength and resistance to abrasion. The liner is sewn with Tex-80 Nomex®; thread which is a staple in the fire industry and most commonly used in turnout gear.
The glove also incorporates a “Rollover Finger Design” which eliminates bulky seams at the tip of the fingers.
Knit Wrist (optional)
The knit-wrist material, for those gloves that incorporate a knit-wrist is made from Nomex®.
