Found some weird issues with my PC.

For some weird reason, ALL usb ports or multi-media ports (sd card slots) have write protect on it, my PC won't install the new Windows updates it needs, looks like HDD is going bad as well. Ugh..I don't know if it'll be worth repairing this PC or just buying a new one at this point. I can't play games anymore, it just takes FOREVER to load, nothing looks right but I know my video card is fine so I'm not sure what is causing that.

Meh...might just be time for a new PC..

Move the write protect slider on the sd card? Very slow boot and updates completely not working is almost a sure sign of malware.
If you HDD is from within the past 2-3 years and you don't hear any noise, it's probably not bad. If you do get hangs when accessing files, given what you described, it could be due to malware instead of a failing drive.

@Kreubs Hmmm...that could explain quite a bit. Opening a lot of files usually takes a long time or doens't even respond..so far nothing picked up.

@mousquet checked, found nothing. Meh...just might get a new PC at this point.
