Say a final goodbye to the VCR.

The last-known company still manufacturing VCRs plans to stop manufacturing the antiquated technology at the end of July, according to the New York Times.
Japanese-based Funai Electonic Company said in a statement that it would stop making VCRs mainly because of difficulty acquiring the necessary components as well as declining sales.

It's sad to see it go, but VCRs are old tech and we know what happens to old tech, also it doesn't compare to digital quality either, that's my two cents ;)

Remember the days you had to sneak around and record late night cinemax on VHS? Was that just me? XD

AH, the good times.
