The S1 score and time limits are 875 and 25 minutes respectively.
As it is, it is rather difficult to win by score (nigh unto impossible with the current average population). Rounds are condemned to drawing out to full time. Making an alternate way to end the round more attainable could spice things up a bit.

What do you guys think about knocking the time and score down, say, to their previous 700/20? Suggestions are welcome.
We could further mix it up by adding Crossfire to the rotation. In order to keep Broadcast-ness of it all, we could add it every other map. 2 Broadcast, 1 Crossfire, etc. The poll will be open for 5 days but can be extended if necessary. You guys decide.

Crossfire is awesome. Voted to add Crossfire.
If Broadcast only, no reason to change time or score limits.
As a creative - to add TDM and Domination modes.

Would be cool to get the majority of folks that play it to get their votes only. Since I do not play the game nearly enough, why would I vote on something that won't affect me much?

I'm all up for change to spice things up anyway :)

I voted for both. The server needs a kick in the ass. I've gone on to play a few times in the last couple days and found it empty more times than not.

Need to think about the health of the server instead of your individual tastes. If people are constantly leaving after one round on BC, another map might entice them to stay, at least for one more round.

I agree with all who will reviving the server because it is sad to see such a beautiful finally empty server

I refreshed the list of the servers a few hours ago, there were no more populated servers than 20, only one of them had 10 people in, others had from 1 to 4 or 5. I didnt use any filters but the one which excludes empty servers. That means that when I refreshed there were around 50 players online, worldwide. And severals years ago we used to have that amount on s1 while thousands and thousands were playing elsewhere. Ifs not the server or a boring map, its all about cod4 dying out.

Coming closer to the topic, I thought we could try to add the smaller maps like the killhouse to the rotation for the times when there are so few people online. Playing broadcast (or other larger maps) with 1 or 2 other guys is not too fun for some.
And to let people decide on the map we could try enabling the polls (at least if there's a chance to prevent people kicking out one another)

i like the idea of changing up the rotation. now crossfire is not really my favorit but some of the maps mike suggested i would support. like wet work, countdown, bog and i would add downpour and pipeline to the suggestions. it would surely blow some new life in my interest of playing some krew-deathmatch again.

however i would like to add that changing our bread&butter recepie is risky and should be considerate carefully.

Maps with a lot of hackers.
Killhouse and Shipment are very special maps. Most players will go out from server when this maps starting. Of course, there are fans of these maps as well. And these maps are magnets for hackers :(

i vote sort out my dam lag on that server, o wait thats not an option :(
i used to like ffa on that map but it gets boring with the lack of people, bring back the times of like 20 or 30 plus people. i saldy have to admit i spent quite a bit of game time playing in that server and i think it would be a shame to lose or change it

Might it be worth putting a message on rotation in S1 so that the regulars can have a say. There are several regulars that are on the server but rarely come to the forums, it's only fair that have a chance to voice their opinions.

I voted for both. Although I'm terrible at crossfire, I think others might like to play it also. I would say that 15 minute FFA time limits are good.
I've noticed a trend among other servers that have much smaller maps (killhouse, shipment). They are generally more populated, and even if there are only 2-3 players, it is a playable game. Broadcast with 2 people is not all that fun. Unless it's a stealth match...
So I would even consider adding Crossfire and either Shipment or Killhouse.

I'd recommend Strike over Crossfire, easier on fps of lower end PC's. And in my personal opinion a much better map.

I voted for both. I'm not sure whether any particular rotation pattern would better suit, however I like what Kreubs proposed at the end of his post. That said, I also agree that altering your 'classic Coke' formula should be done with great care. So perhaps at first only the score and time limits should be modified, then (if, after a few weeks, those changes seem to be successful) add the new map.
