The Fourth of July. Today is the day that people celebrate as the birth of America.

Independence Day, commonly known as the Fourth of July, is a federal holiday in the United States commemorating the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776, declaring independence from the Kingdom of Great Britain. It started a bloody war that ended with one of the first provinces to ever successfully seceding from its motherland.

America has had its ups and downs, its wars and times of peace. It has had presidents greatly improve the country and those that took it backwards. Regardless of the current president and his policies, I still love America, and I always will. Today is a day that all Americans can come together and celebrate a great country.

People need to put aside their political differences and celebrate the fact that we live in such a great country.

I love my country and all the problems it has.
